Eurobank EFG has donated office furniture it no longer uses to associations of persons with disabilities, in order to provide them with better-quality operating work. In accordance with its strategic focus on support to establishing better living conditions for persons with disabilities, Eurobank EFG has donated office furniture it no longer uses to associations of persons with disabilities, in order to provide them with better-quality operating work.

The furniture has been donated to:
  • Union of People with Dystrophic of Serbia,
  • National Organisation of People with Disabilities,
  • Association for Support to Disabled Individuals Stari Grad, Belgrade, and
  • Association for Support to Mentally Underdeveloped Individuals, Novi Sad.

Eurobank EFG’s donation includes desks, chairs and office cabinets.

The above listed associations work on improving the position of persons with disabilities by advocating their interests, providing support to their families, and organising expert and educational workshops for their independence and employment. Activities of these organisations are based on promoting the protection of human rights, fight against prejudice and discrimination, facilitation of scientific and research work, and introduction of standards in the area of disability applied by developed countries.

“As a socially responsible company, Eurobank EFG is particularly focused on the social issue of integrating persons with disabilities into all social and working areas. By donating the office furniture, we wish to support activities of these 4 associations so that they can continue with their engagement on establishing inclusive society in Serbia, based on principles of equality,” said Nataša Krstić, Head of Corporate Communication in Eurobank EFG.

Through its comprehensive “We invest in European values” program, aimed at supporting healthcare, high education, environmental protection and inclusive society development, Eurobank EFG has invested nearly EUR3.5 million so far. The bank has adjusted five of its branches for access of persons with disabilities, and conducted expert employee training on suitable approach and terminology in relations with clients with disabilities. In addition, the Bank’s Internet presentation http://www.eurobankefg.rs/ complies with all standards of “readability” for persons with impaired vision. Using a hardware and software computer device, text contents, photo descriptions, links and navigations are converted into sound.
