Eurobank Direktna Boosts Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs as Part of the Support Program

Belgrade, August 31, 2023 - Eurobank Direktna is again participating in the Support Program for micro, small businesses and entrepreneurs for the purchase of equipment in 2023. As in previous years, the allocation of grants through this Program in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, the Development Agency of Serbia and banks, with the support of the project "Serbia and the EU - Equipment for the conomy" financed by the European Union, aims to support investments and encourage the acceleration of economic development in Serbia.

"Continuous support to the small business sector is in line with Eurobank Direktna's business strategy since its establishment. That is why this year we joined the Support Program for micro, small businesses and entrepreneurs in partnership and cooperation with the Ministry of conomy, the Development Agency of Serbia and with the support of the project “Serbia and the EU - Equipment for the Economy”. In this way, through financial support, we enable entrepreneurs and small businesses to further improve their business and technologicalproduction processes," said Dušan Mihailović, member of the Executive Board of Eurobank Direktna.

As part of the Support Program, legal entities have the opportunity to exercise their right to grants in the amount of up to 25% of the net value of the purchase of production equipment. The funds allocated through this Program are intended for co-financing the purchase of new equipment that directly contributes to the production of tradable goods, as well as for the purchase of equipment for construction works. The amount of funding that can be allocated to abusiness entity is from half a million to 5 million dinars and is determined in relation to the number of employees as of December 31, 2022. Regardless of the amount, the financial framework is harmonized so that Eurobank Direktna provides a loan in the amount of 70%, while the other conditions for participation in this Program are defined according to the requirements of the Ministry of Economy.

The program to support small businesses for the purchase of equipment in 2023 aims to improve the competitive position of economic entities and optimize business activities. Approximately 1.4 billion dinars have been earmarked for the implementation of the Program, and the open call for applications continues until the available funds are used, and by December 31, 2023 at the latest.
